Quick Quotes
Q. What a great round of golf; you started off with a bogey and then just played fantastic. Talk us through your round today.
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, first hole was tough. I made bogey. I felt better with my swing today than yesterday. The conditions were harder. It was hard to hit the ball close to the hole. It was hard to judge what the wind was going to do with it.
Q. You played with your teammate today, Hennie. Interesting dynamic there. Obviously you guys are playing for the individual as well as the team; what was that like? What's going through your mind?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I think it just makes you focus, a few aspects of it going. I saw that with about six holes to go, it was me and Hennie up there with the scores, so it makes you focus. But we were going well, so you're playing your best.
Q. Obviously you played so good the first two days; you must have a lot of confidence going into the final round.
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, I do. Like I said from the beginning, it's a demanding course, so you've got to stay real focused, try and execute the shots like I've been doing. 18 holes, we've been around this game a long time. A lot of things can happen. But playing good.
Q. How would you describe today?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I think today was tougher than yesterday. Wind was stronger, and I thought it was just very difficult to get the ball on the right tiers close to the hole. If you miss the tiers on these greens you've got big up over slope spots with wind blowing. So difficult to get them lagged close I thought.
Q. Just in terms of the team format, you guys are --
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: What are we? I don't even know.
Q. You were like six or seven up the last time I checked. Unless somebody made a late run. Who knows, with three scores counting tomorrow --
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Exactly. Lou played well, Branden seemed like he played decent. Looks like everybody is playing pretty good. Regarding the team, if we've got a big lead, I think sort of solid golf would take care of that.
Q. It seems like the South Africans are really bonding, too.
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, the South Africans, a lot of them on the European Tour, and we've always been international players, played all over the world. You convert these dollars to rands, and they're a lot.
