Quick Quotes
Q. What did it mean to you to have the big ovations you got on 16, 17 and 18 with the National Anthem being sung as well?
MIKE WEIR: Yeah it was really fun. Especially 16 was really cool. Yeah, I mean, I think everybody's super excited, like I said yesterday, that we're all here. And to feel that, I was choking up a little bit. It was really quite special. Gave them a little thrill on the last, so hopefully that's enough. It's going to be close, so hopefully it makes the cut.
Q. Does it ever get old playing in front of Canadian fans?
MIKE WEIR: Never, no. It's the opposite, it's wonderful. So you want to play well, you want to play well at home and give them something to cheer for.
Q. When the date change came about they talked about how this tournament might kind of be like a little bit like a U.S. Open light, so to speak, in terms of the setup. How would you describe today's conditions versus what the guys will see next week?
MIKE WEIR: It played really tough today. The wind was difficult. It was tough to pick up on the wind. A lot of long shots into the holes for me. So it played like an Open, it played like a national championship, so they have done a great job with the setup here this week.
