Quick Quotes
Q. Great tournament, looking like a top-10 finish. What is it about U.S. Opens that brings out the best in you?
MEGAN KHANG: Honestly, U.S. Opens are such a challenge, and I think kind of knowing that going into the week definitely helps the mentality. You know you're going to come out here, pars are always going to be great.
You've got to take advantage of the holes that you can. Having a good week at a U.S. Women's Open is always great, and definitely builds confidence for the rest of the season.
Q. You had an awesome birdie on 17 and then a great par putt at the end. How did that finish feel?
MEGAN KHANG: It was great. I mean, 15 kind of was bittersweet, that chip from just short of the green just kind of kept going, but making the par putt on both 14 and 15 to keep the momentum the same was great.
And then 16, really good putt.
And then 17, great shot in and we just kind of were like, let's capitalize, because we've been putting it so well and just really wanted to give it a good stroke, good line, and it goes in.
Then 18, I was like, let's have a good finish and try to stay away from the birdie-bogey finish.
Q. What do you think about the crowd here today and all week and all these fans that want your autograph?
MEGAN KHANG: The crowds are awesome. This week you see a ton of families out here, a ton of kids. I love seeing that personally. Kids are a lot of fun to interact with as well as their parents. It's nice to see the next generation coming up, and I think these are like possibly the biggest crowds we've had in a while given the weather. It's very family oriented.
