Q. How important was that birdie on 18?

LEXI THOMPSON: It's always nice to end on a birdie, and made a putt. I'm short a little bit on my second nine. Got a few bad breaks, but it is what it is. It's golf.

Going into the weekend just focussing on that last putt and build on that.

Q. How do you evaluate your play the first few days in your position heading into the weekend?

LEXI THOMPSON: My play the first two days has been solid. The second nine may be a little iffy on a few swings, but overall pretty solid, so I'm looking forward to the next few days and just stay in the moment and focus on one shot at a time and see where that goes.

Q. How have the fans been out there?

LEXI THOMPSON: They've been amazing. The rain might have scared off a few, or the thunderstorms for that matter, but there were so many people out there supporting us, and hopefully we get a ton of people out there this weekend.
