Golden State Warriors
Media Day
THE MODERATOR: First question.
Q. You caught these guys, the Celtics, at their low point in December. You didn't play in the game in March. When you watch them on film now, how different are the Celtics from that team you went up against in December?
ANDREW WIGGINS: They're different. The guys are playing at a high level. They got some guys that are really going right now, so we just got to lock in. It's going to be tough, you know.
Q. Andrew, you got off to a tough NBA start with a trade, a new team right away, didn't have the immediate Playoff success. When you're going through all those challenges, can you see this kind of finish line, light at the end of the tunnel kind of thing?
ANDREW WIGGINS: You can say that. We're close. We're four games away. But it's not going to be an easy task. We got to stay locked in, stay ready. Boston is going to be tough. They beat some really good teams to get here. So did we.
It's going to be a tough battle.
Q. In your time since the Warriors brought you over here, what do you think makes Bob Myers a really successful general manager?
ANDREW WIGGINS: He knows what he's doing. I feel like he's really great at putting pieces together, pieces that gel, pieces that work. He makes the best of every situation.
Q. You're a day out now from your first Finals game. How are you feeling, overall emotions? Are you nervous?
ANDREW WIGGINS: I'll be nervous tomorrow, for sure [smiling]. But right now, I'm excited. I'm soaking it all in. I'm just ready to play for real. You know, it's something that you dream of as a kid. I've watched it all my years in the NBA but never got a chance to be a part of it.
Now that I'm a part of it, I'm excited and embracing it.
Q. Steph, Klay and Draymond have the three highest winning percentages in NBA Playoff history. When you're out there on the floor with them in the postseason, can you feel that intensity? Can you feel like there's something different to their game when it comes to the Playoffs?
ANDREW WIGGINS: Oh, for sure. You can see the level of intensity rise. Playoffs is very detailed, it's very physical. It's a different game. It's a game of adjustments, too.
Those guys have been great on the court. I feel like it comes to them easy. That's because they've been here for so long. They've been here and had success. So those guys are very, you know, confident, very calm in high-intensity situations. It's good.
