Q. Here with Ayaka Furue coming off a 2&1 victory over Paula Reto. How important are getting those pars on this course, especially since it's so difficult out here this week?

AYAKA FURUE: Yeah, it's pretty important to be making those par saves out here. I was able to snag a couple on way in as well.

Q. Yeah, I see you went you know pretty early in the round and held it all the way. How do you do that?

AYAKA FURUE: Yeah, I think it was just because I was able to focus just right until the end there.

Q. And the back nine I see you parred almost every hole. That's been really hard for people today. Did you find the back nine to be hard?

AYAKA FURUE: Yeah, just bringing it back to the focus part of my game, and then I gave myself a lot of birdie chances. So it was just waiting for one to drop in, but just kept getting pars.

Q. With another round of golf today, how are you going to prepare?

AYAKA FURUE: I want to take a little break, it's hot out here, and then get back to the focus that I've had for this round.
