C. GAUFF/K. Kanepi
6-3, 6-4
THE MODERATOR: You've reached the quarterfinals here before in the past, I think it's your 15th main draw appearance at Roland Garros, so just comment on how you're able to be so successful at this tournament, what positives do you take out of this match, even though you lost.
KAIA KANEPI: I had really good moments here in the first round and second round also, so I just keep playing.
Q. I wanted to ask you about how much you were able to do what you wanted to do in the match today and if there's anything you think you could have tried differently at all?
KAIA KANEPI: I tried to be aggressive. I think that's what I'm supposed to do. And I think I just made a bit too many errors today and I think she played really well and she was better today I think in every aspect of the match.
Q. Could I ask you to elaborate on that a little and if there was anything you could describe more specifically that she did well that gave you trouble.
KAIA KANEPI: Well, she was aggressive and then she played long points and it was a really tough to figure out how the way to win a point.
Q. Is it surprising at all to you to see someone as young as she is maybe having the success and playing the way she does?
KAIA KANEPI: I think her serve is so fast, that's surprising for me to see at this age. But to see that young players can play really well, that's not really a surprise, it has happened before.
Q. And I guess, if you don't mind, if I could ask about the feeling of the difference in age out there. For you does that matter at all, is it interesting in any way to you to know the difference there that's going on between you and her?
KAIA KANEPI: I wouldn't say that what's going on between me and her, but it's interesting to see how I can play at my age and how I can play, that's interesting to see.
But, actually, I don't think much about my age. If I play well and keep winning, then I don't think it matters how old I am.
Q. Any idea how long you want to continue playing?
KAIA KANEPI: Not really. I think my personality is not like that, that I really plan ahead. I don't plan, so I see how I feel and which mood I am and so on.
