Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Lilia Vu who is coming off a 5&3 victory to advance to the round of 16. You have played really dominant golf out here this week. Three matches, three wins. Tell me, what has worked so well for you out here this weekend?
LILIA VU: I think just staying patient. This course is pretty difficult. Like I said yesterday, everyone is going to make mistakes. As long as I just try my best on each shot, that's all I can ask for.
Q. And you got another early finish today. How good does it feel to be off the course early and how will that help you tomorrow?
LILIA VU: It feels really good to finish early. I'm quite tired now, so I'm going to go rest up after this. Tomorrow is going to be another long day, so just try to rest up.
Q. Are you excited or nervous? How are you feeling about advancing to a must-win match tomorrow?
LILIA VU: I'm excited. I love match play, so I'm having a lot of fun out here.
Q. What is it that you love about match play?
LILIA VU: I think that you can be really aggressive out here. Like each putt I have it either goes in or it doesn't and that's it. There is no fear about it.
So either you make it or you don't.
Q. So you're one of the aggressive players. We've heard a lot of players say they've been aggressive, but on the greens they've been really fast. Have you had to be more conservative on the greens or are you still really aggressive always?
LILIA VU: I think I'm still aggressive. I'm pretty smart when it comes to long putts, but during the must-make putts I give myself a good run at it.
Q. So it looks like you'll be playing Allisen tomorrow.
LILIA VU: Uh-huh.
Q. Probably two young American players that people don't know a lot about. Do you think that says anything about the depth of American golf right now?
LILIA VU: I think American golf is really strong. I think it's always been, and it's only going to get stronger.
Q. Allisen said you guys have played quite a bit through the years and you tend to get the better of her. Is that the way you remember it?
LILIA VU: That's not the way I remember it. I know she's a great player. I just played with her in LA and she has a great game. Should be a tough match tomorrow.
Q. For people who don't know much about your game, what are your strengths? How would you describe your game to people?
LILIA VU: I think I'm a pretty good ball striker. I putt the ball well. That's as much as I could say about my game honestly.
Q. How does that translate to this course? You need to be a ball-striker here off the tee.
LILIA VU: Yeah, you really need to be smart on your approach shots. The greens are really fast, so I've been planning for front yardage mostly.
Q. I have a couple more.
LILIA VU: Okay.
Q. I want to know how you have found and enjoyed the hospitality and the Vegas aspect of this tournament? How do you enjoy being here, the way the tournament is put on in general?
LILIA VU: First of all, the course is so beautiful, so I am enjoying that. The food has been great. I've been excited to come to the course every day to eat and hang out. It's so beautiful here, so been really enjoying it.
Q. Especially the week before the U.S. Women's Open, what sort of advantage does it have to come and play this match play event before The Open?
LILIA VU: I think it's a good gauge of my game. It's kind of different because I'm being more aggressive out here. To see myself pull off some shots and what I can and can't do is really valuable to me.
