Q. 1-under par, I know not the way you wanted to end the round, about if we can get some comments on a good opening day.

MATTHIAS SCHWAB: Yeah, I'm happy with the round and with the score. I got off to a nice start, birdied 10, my first hole, made a nice long putt and was 2-under for quite a while.

Then the wind picked up later in the morning and made it quite difficult, and yeah, in the end a 1-under par round out here is good with me.

Q. I know you've noticed that car down there that has your last name on it. What would it mean to win that?

MATTHIAS SCHWAB: I have noticed the car, yeah. It looks really cool. I have nothing but positive vibes out here. Obviously the name of the tournament is great for me, also, and I've been out here before. I have a bunch of friends here from my college times. Nothing but positive vibes.

Q. Were a lot of those guys out here watching you today?

MATTHIAS SCHWAB: Most of them had to work this morning, so not many of them were out here, but I hope to have a pretty good crowd tomorrow afternoon and then as the week goes on.
