K. KANEPI/G. Muguruza
2-6, 6-3, 6-4
THE MODERATOR: So a word about your game. Tough game, tough beginning and then at the end it was great. What worked today, the head or the legs or both.
KAIA KANEPI: I think both worked. Not in the beginning, actually, I felt a bit tight and I didn't feel comfortable on the court with my shots and my serve and then after I found some kind of rhythm.
THE MODERATOR: Do we have questions?
Q. I'm not sure if you're aware yet but it was your 14th top-20, victory over a top-20 player at a slam and your 10th I believe over a top-10 player. Just wondering what brings out the best of you at slams against these big names and do you even get nervous when you have to face them early on?
KAIA KANEPI: I do get nervous, it's not easy to play a tough opponent in the first round, but I think I enjoy playing Grand Slams more and I think the motivation is higher than smaller tournaments.
I try to be more focused and not too emotional when I play in slams.
Q. I would like to ask you about the WTA and Wimbledon, what do you think about this decision about no points for this tournament?
KAIA KANEPI: It's very tough to tell. I think it's so and so. I really don't know what to answer. But getting no points is not good.
