THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. Last year you joked that you had played Rafa too many times.

DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: Yeah. Don't tell me the draw, because I don't know the draw, huh? Really, really, I don't know the draw so don't tell me the draw.

Q. I won't tell you the draw, but there are some big players in your half this year. How confident are you that you have got the game this year to beat some big players?

DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: I'm always have confidence, you know. If I feeling okay on court, for me it's the first step to beat the best players in the world and on tennis right now.

I have to improve obviously, because today I think I did regular match, you know, but to beat the best guys on tour, I have to improve too many things. Let's see what happen on second round against Munar, and then obviously if I win the next match, I have another opportunity to improve.

But, you know, I've not seen the draw, so I have no idea who is in my part of the draw. But here you have the best players too, so every single match it's a very tough one.

I think Rafa it's in the bottom part of the draw, so no Rafa. But I'm not sure. So I'm not sure if he's close to me or not.

Q. You have just told us you have not looked at the draw.

DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: Yeah.

Q. Is that a positive decision that you have made? Why have you decided not to look at the draw?

DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: You know, at this time with the social media, it's very difficult. If I made the decision to not see, at the end someone is sending a message, you know, with your draw or second round or third round, you know.

But sometimes you are like flying, thinking about another match, and you're not even start the first one.

So if I have to see, I mean, no problem. But I prefer to just go step by step. On Grand Slam I prefer to do that, you know. Too many matches and five-sets matches. If you start to think who is the next one and you are not even play the first set, is difficult. So I prefer to do that.
