Q. What was it like being in the thick of that thing all day long?

CAMERON YOUNG: We had a good time for the most part. Yeah, it's always a hard day. It's major championship golf. It was clearly very difficult today.

I think we hung in there pretty well for a long time, and unfortunate to have a couple slip away at the end. But it happens when you're right around the lead.

Q. What's the mix of knowing you had a great week overall but just being that close to the finish?

CAMERON YOUNG: Pretty disappointing. I've been close a few times, and I've had some bad Sundays, so this was just another one.

Q. What can you pull from it from a positive standpoint?

CAMERON YOUNG: I think I've made so many mistakes, even in tournaments that I've been close to winning. I think it proves to me that not only can I win, but I can win by a lot. I just have to wait for that to come together.

Q. Your driving seemed like such a weapon this week.

CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah. I didn't drive it as well today, but for the most part, yes.

Q. What was it like being right there with Will? You guys are both fighting to hang in --

CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, good. It was very comfortable. I've played a decent few practice rounds with him. I've obviously known him a long time. It's certainly comfortable, and yeah, fun to watch. He's a great player. It's always nice to play with someone that you can kind of be in the thick of it with. We both had our struggles today, and yeah, all in all, we had a good time. It was fun to be with him trying to win a major championship instead of trying to win qualifying back in school.

Q. You two were kind of in that same boat; you've knocked on the door really hard. Probably hard to stay patient right now, but do you feel it's going to happen pretty soon?

CAMERON YOUNG: I hope so. If I keep putting myself in tie for the lead or one back with nine holes to play, one of those times I'm going to shoot 5-under on the back, and that's going to be good enough. It wasn't today. There will be another one.
