Q. Can you take us through the week?
JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, quite clearly haven't been playing my best of late and it's nice to come to a major championship. I decided not to play last week in Dallas and spent an extra week at home in England really working on my game and practicing, and feel like I'm kind of in that stage where I have to figure it out at the moment.
So to spend the extra week at home working and then to come and bring it to a major, you never quite know if that's the right strategy or not, but I feel like I built some good momentum this week. Yeah, in some ways, I'm making some changes but in some ways I feel like I'm going back to honoring natural swing patterns and not trying to fight too much with that.
Q. As we get older, there's a change in the way we have to play. Do you have that progression?
JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, I think that's fair. I'm trying to, like I said, honor the way I am born to swing the club which is more of a swing motion, more of release. A lot of the guys right now are holding the clubface very square, which I've tried to mess with but it doesn't seem to work so good for me. As I get older, that swinging pattern is going to serve me well and it will be more of a natural swing that will hopefully serve me well towards 50.
Q. Going to places you've been before like Southern Hills, you go back to St Andrews, how does it serve you?
JUSTIN ROSE: It's good. Little days like today, sort of Sundays in major championships, to shoot 68, it helps the confidence. Because you can do all the work in the world but you need to get out and you need to play tournament golf and you need to feel the mini-butterflies you do get out there. There was a lot of personal pride to finish strongly. Those little days, that's what I need now just to keep building the confidence up as well as the game.
