Q. It's been an adventurous week. How did the game and how did everything go this week?
AARON WISE: I felt like I played good. I think everyone would agree, there was a big difference in what side of the draw you got the first two rounds, and I was on the bad side. I just wasn't able to overcome that this weekend. It just cost me too many shots. But I feel like I played well just didn't quite get it going enough to get up there and have a chance to win. Obviously what happened in the second round was scary.
On 7, we hit it down the right side and all the balls were in the rough and we were just trying to find them all for everybody. I went down to look and see if it was my ball or Joel's ball who I was playing with, and next thing you know, I just kind of was down on one knee, didn't really know what happened at the time and then obviously probably 10, 20 seconds later it kind of all came back to me.
Kind of felt the area, made sure it wasn't bleeding or anything crazy like that. I didn't feel any blood. I had some ringing in my ears which went away pretty quick after that. So took two, three minutes. Made sure that nothing crazy was going on.
Felt like I was able to keep playing. Went par, par bogey on 7, 8, 9. Obviously golf was not at the forefront of what was on my mind at that point. Obviously it was trying to get to see a doctor and make sure nothing crazy was going on.
Friday night was tough, a lot of icing on the head and a lot of swelling. I actually felt pretty good waking up Saturday morning and felt good waking up this morning. Was able to focus on golf on the weekend, which is nice, obviously with a lot of perspective on maybe it's not quite as important as I thought it was on Friday before I got hit.
Q. So it was really scary?
AARON WISE: Yeah, absolutely. I feel fine now, but yes, definitely something like that is very scary.
Q. Going back to the game, you did well?
AARON WISE: I feel like I did great.
Q. What do you see in the majors?
AARON WISE: Yeah, I'd love to be in them. The Open at St Andrews, an amazing test, and then I played the U.S. Am at Brookline when I was a little kid and it kicked my butt. So I'd love some redemption.
But I feel like the game is in a really good spot. Right now it's trying to get enough World Ranking points to get in those fields, and that's a big reason why I'm out here. I want to do well in the majors, and I feel like I did a good job this week. I feel like I'm in a great spot to do well in the next two as well.
