Flash Quotes

Q. There's a lot of Oklahoma State golfers in this field but what's it like being from coal lie about a and do you have that Colombian fans out there that you cheer for?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: Yeah, every so often. You know, in Cal Las they came and make some noise and the PLAYERS they were there and make some noise. It's funny they are pretty much everywhere and you always find either it's two or three or maybe 30. So I definitely kind of bring the Colombian crowd into the tournaments.

Q. You said you played back nine today. Was there any hole that you stood out? Any hole that you thought was really interesting?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: 18 was playing really long today. I think I hit driver 7-wood but I like it. I don't really like practice rounds very much. I try to stay away from the course Tuesday, Wednesday, as much as I can, and then just let the tournament kind of fall into its own.

Q. Off the beaten path, I want to can you about autographs. What's it like to see someone excited about getting your autograph, just experiencing that and trying to sign as much you can?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: It's different to be honest. I'm not usually the guy they scream their name to get the flag signed. So today, I did get quite -- Sebastian, Sebastian, so it was quite cool. I go out there, probably gave, I don't know, maybe 50, 70 autographs so far, so pretty good for me.

Q. We were talking with Rahm yesterday, six Latinos here this week, the highest number in a PGA Championship ever. What does it mean for Latin Americans in golf? How do you support each other?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: We were just having lunch over there. It was Sergio, Jhonny, Paco, Carlos and myself, so it was five out of six. We are good friends. We talk about more than golf and each other's lives but we are still competitive. I feel anyone who is doing the best, everyone try to target them and try to emulate what they are doing.

But yeah, I mean, sport is definitely growing in our direction. I feel like we are showing some strong performances and hopefully more to come.

Q. So there's another thing in connection with The PGA of America and the PGA Championship, you're one of the ones that lives in the Dallas area. There's a lot of you guys living in the Dallas area, Carlos and other players. Have you been following what's been happening with Frisco and the new headquarters?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: Yeah, I haven't been to that place but my coach has. He's a North Texas PGA associate. He went over there and got the tour and he told me it's awesome what they are trying to do. They are trying to do the biggest putt-putt course in the nation, which is going to be lights at night. I think it's doing great things trying to get golf going and making it more accessible to everyone and make golf fun. I haven't been but I've heard great things so far.
