Q. Very well played out there. The conditions might remind you of a fine day in North Berwick, you certainly turned on, didn't you? What a great round. It's put you in contention in the individual event and also the team doing well.

CATRIONA MATTHEW: Yeah, that's a scary thought, in contention tomorrow. Yeah, I mean, I haven't been playing much or practicing so didn't quite know what to expect.

Played well today, and when you shoot 66 I putted well. Kind of every little thing everything went for me.

Kind of disappointed in my finish. As a golfer you're never too thrilled, but overall delighted.

Q. You say you putted well. People have talk about the greens out here, the grains, how different they are to European. Obviously you have more experience playing around the world than most in the field. Do you think that helped? Did you draw back on that?

CATRIONA MATTHEW: Well, I picked out a new putter just before I came here and that's been working so well.

And my caddie reads the greens great, so I just leave it to her and she kind of points like that, right edge, and I try and hit it where she says.

Q. We know you love team golf. Fantastic captain for Europe. So tell me what it was like for you out there as well playing alongside -- because the team was playing well and you had a great team as well.

CATRIONA MATTHEW: Yeah, we did. It was great playing with Mo. You know, played with her a lot in the LPGA. Was nice to catch up with her.

And Paz is a lovely girl. Nice to meet her.
