Press Conference
THE MODERATOR: Okay, fantastic, winners of the Aramco Team Series Bangkok here. Team Whitney Hillier, which is Whitney in the middle with Chonlada and Krista on the far end, and the amateur player, who's Pattanan Amatanon from Bangkok.
So I'll open the floor with some questions first. Team captain, how does it feel?
WHITNEY HILLIER: I'm so proud of my team. Even from the start of yesterday morning we just had a good vibe. Like everything just flowed and obviously we played great golf, but we had a lot of the fun, so that was the most important thing too.
It was a win so...
THE MODERATOR: Krista, this is your second ATS victory. When I spoke to you at the start of the week after the draft we said that experience may be useful for your team. It certainly turned out that way.
KRISTA BAKKER: Yes, definitely. It's great to be here again. We had so much fun, and like Whitney said, yesterday we started to play right away and started making birdies.
Q. Chonlada, I think you were the other secret weapon for this team. This is your home course, Thai Country Club. I think you had a particularly good round today.
CHONLADA CHAYANUN: Yes.
THE MODERATOR: Tell us about your round today.
CHONLADA CHAYANUN: Yeah, just everything was perfect today. I made so many pars and had like eight birdies, so that's the secret.
I got so many good energies from my team. They are really supportive, so just made me keep going.
THE MODERATOR: And how does it feel for you a Bangkok local to win a Ladies European Tour in your home setting?
CHONLADA CHAYANUN: I'm just happy. I never thought about winning and we did it as a team, so just real happy. I'm so proud of my team.
THE MODERATOR: Pat, you were the amateur on this team, but by all accounts you had a big impact as well. How have you enjoyed the two days of competing, and can you believe that you're a Ladies European Tour champion?
PATTANAN AMATANON: It's surreal. I couldn't believe it. I'm dreaming. You know, it's just amazing to play here yesterday and today, and it really feel like a team effort. Like Krista had amazing day yesterday of Chonlada had an awesome day today.
It was all so amazing.
THE MODERATOR: Whitney, just to come to you again as team captain, I think you may have been on the LET for ten years, would that be right said, and this is your first win; you must be over the moon.
WHITNEY HILLIER: Yeah, this is my tenth year on tour, and for my first win to be in a team event, like that's pretty cool. Yeah, I'm just looking forward to tomorrow too, now.
THE MODERATOR: Of course, yeah.
WHITNEY HILLIER: It's incredible. Yeah, just loved every minute. I've been patient, but it's worth the wait.
THE MODERATOR: Okay, we can now open the floor to Thai questions. Obviously Chonlada can answer in Thai, and Pat as well.
Q. How do you feel winning this event?
WHITNEY HILLIER: I'm just very, very proud of my team. To get this win is very, very special.
Q. For Krista, is this win different than the one you had Jeddah?
KRISTA BAKKER: It was a bit different. In Saudi we had to play up and it was pretty exciting. (Indiscernible).
But everything I think is different, but it's very special and it's great to be here in Bangkok.
THE MODERATOR: Congratulations to Team Hillier, and all the best for tomorrow as well.
WHITNEY HILLIER: Thank you.
