Q. Very well played out there. Obviously the team didn't quite kick on, but you yourself played some good golf out there; 4-under. Tell me about it.

ANNE VAN DAM: Yeah, it was pretty steady. Us one bogey today, a lot of two putts, a lot of easy golf. So few nice shots, few birdies, one eagle, so overall pretty steady day.

Q. I was going to say, the classic Van Dam. I looked at the course and I thought it might suit you. Did you think the same when you arrived here?

ANNE VAN DAM: Yeah, I would say so. I can hit a lot of drivers, which is always good, and the greens are not too soft so even with wedges I'm not spinning the ball too much, which is always tough for me.

I like the course. I think it's a good layout, and excited for two more rounds here.

Q. Coming into here, obviously coming off Madrid, how do you feel about your game? Did you feel like you were going to go low here?

ANNE VAN DAM: Yeah, I mean, my game has been feeling pretty good almost the whole year since I had a little bit of a break. Just wasn't feeling that well last week. A little bit sick, very -- my sinuses were pretty full.

Still not feeling too great this week, so that's my only thing. I wish I was just feeling a little bit better and enjoy it a little bit more, especially in the heat. It's quite tough.

So, yeah, hopefully good night of sleep and two more good rounds.

Q. Just going to finish with that. How are you handling the conditions? It's really hot today.

ANNE VAN DAM: Yeah.

Q. Been really humid the last couple days and today just feels hot.

ANNE VAN DAM: Yeah, it's just all about staying calm and not wasting any energy. Just walk slow, not talk. I mean, I didn't talk. I didn't even say anything. I just hit my shot and go on to the next.

So, yeah, a lot of water, electrolytes. Have to hydrate for sure.
