BETFRED BRITISH MASTERS HOSTED BY DANNY WILLETT

May 5, 2022

Rasmus Hojgaard

Sutton, Coldfield, England

The Belfry

Quick Quotes

Q. Opening first round 68 in the Betfred British Masters. You must be pretty happy with that.

RASMUS HØGJAARD: 100 per cent. I was playing nicely out there. Gave myself a lot of chances. I'm very happy with a 68.

Q. You came off last week, closing round of 70, so a bit of momentum coming into this week. Is that important?

RASMUS HØGJAARD: It is for sure. I think when you're not playing a tournament where you're contending, it's just trying to build some momentum going into the week after. That was my focus there Sunday, see if I can play some decent golf and then be ready for this week. So something must have worked I guess.

Q. What's the biggest difference in the setup last week comparable to this week?

RASMUS HØGJAARD: Well, last week, there was a bit of rough. There's not much rough out here. It's okay to spray it a little bit from the tee box. Other than that, greens are good out here, and it's just a good test.

Q. How, you secured your second win on the DP World Tour here at The Belfry. Obviously that tournament was played behind closed doors. The atmosphere here, it feels pretty good. How enjoyable is it to have the crowds back?

RASMUS HØGJAARD: It's awesome. I wasn't expecting to see so many people this morning, so that kind of got me off guard a little bit but it's very enjoyable. The more, the better.
