Quick Quotes
Q. Not what you hoped for today but you turned a corner along with the back nine and found 4,000 pounds For Prostate Cancer U.K. You must be delighted about that.
DANNY WILLETT: Yeah, I was laughing, actually forgot about it after my shambolic efforts on the front nine.
But yeah obviously with the Betfred donations for every birdie, even in that calamity of nine holes managed to play really nice on the back for two more; so 4,000 pounds donated from Betfred to Prostate Cancer U.K.
Nice, scrappy towards the end, get ourselves a nice low one tomorrow, nice fresh greens in the morning and kind of put ourselves back in there.
Q. You must be delighted with the fan turnout given the last two years, makes the tournament completely different?
DANNY WILLETT: It does. Friendly faces in the crowd that you know, family and friends have come down and real good atmosphere on the first down 10 coming up the last. It's kind of what we play the game for is to kind of get people into that and get the fans in there.
Like I was saying on the golf course, it's such an intimate golf course with how close the fans can get that I think they get a really good experience from it as well. I'd say a good first day all around.
Q. Do you have an idea about what you're going to try to do tomorrow?
DANNY WILLETT: We're not far away. Not a great deal went our way today, but it was nice to grind out that last 10, 11 holes. Means that if we have a little run at it tomorrow, you're not going to be making a run for no reason. Means we can hopefully climb up a few spots and make some birdies.
