Q. Eight birdies out there, you're raising a lot of money for charity, one dropped shot for a 65. You must be feeling pretty happy with your day's work?

DANNY WILLETT: Yeah, we played really good today. I think that was the only green we missed there on 9. Lots of birdies, lots of chances, took a lot. I'm trying to spend Betfred's money, eight grand more today to Prostate Cancer U.K. Yeah, we are going in the right direction.

Q. What do you feel was the biggest difference from yesterday into today?

DANNY WILLETT: You know what, this game is so fine in margins. Holed a couple nice putts early on. Greens obviously are running nicely this morning. Just one of those days where hit a lot of really good golf shots and capitalized where we could.

Hit all the par 5s basically in two and made three easy birdies there and a couple of bonuses coming down. It's a strange way around, this golf course plays pretty tough in the middle section from kind of 6 through 12, and then it gives you chances both sides.

So it was quite nice for that to come later on in the round today where we already had a few birdies under our belt and didn't feel much pressure to do anything and played them holes really well today. I didn't quite think we would see that number this morning. Was swinging nicely on the range. At the end of the day it won't be too far off.

Q. You mentioned earlier in the week that historically hosts of the Betfred British Masters don't do so well during the week. How determine are you into the weekend to rewrite the script?

DANNY WILLETT: It's looking like that yesterday. Yeah, it's nice. That's kind of the quiet place this week is five hours of your own time on the golf course. It was nice to kind of have a decent rest yesterday after we played, and up nice and early this morning, beautiful morning for golf, really. The weather has been kind to us these last two days so far.

Yeah, it was just really a tale of two halves. Today felt like me. Yesterday felt like my brother. It's nice to be in position going into the weekend. Fingers crossed we can play well. Crowds have been amazing. Even at 8.30 this morning, they were a few rows deep down 10. Fingers crossed they keep piling in and we can play well.
