Q. You were the Betfred British Masters British Masters champion and your caddie came off 18 saying "that man never ceases to surprise." Were you surprised what you did on 17 and 18 today?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Yeah, definitely. It's two very long putts. But yes, somehow I just had so much belief on that 17 that I could make it. I just forced it in somehow which was incredible. Especially with the crowds, the British crowds has been amazing all week.
Q. Tell us what you were thinking when you came off 15 with a bogey. I know you've been fighting the left side a lot today?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Yeah, everything was going left. Yeah, it was tough to play when you have that but I kept on fighting. I saw I still had a chance going up to 17, and I thought if I can make birdie, birdie, maybe get into a playoff. But obviously I made that on 17; it was a nicer feeling walking down 18.
Q. Your sixth title on the DP World Tour, where does this rank amongst the other five?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: This is very special. It's been a tough few years, so yeah, it's very special.
Q. I know you're not here in Denmark but I'm sure the British fans, all 15,000 edged you on today. How was it having them around you?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: It was amazing, from Thursday on, I thought they were really great for me and supported me the whole way around, even though I'm from Denmark. But it's like always when you come to Britain, there's just great support here for golf and it's a great place to play.
Q. How do you plan to celebrate this one?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Just with my partner, Lauren, and my little son, Cooper.
There's so much emotions, it's been a long time since I won and I knew how hard it was going to be. I was really struggling out there and just didn't have it. Somehow just kept on fighting and scrambling some cars and saw I still had a chance there on 17. Yeah, if I could make birdie, birdie, I thought I could force a playoff, so that was my thinking.
Q. Did that surprise that you were still in it after all that?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Yeah, a little bit. But I thought I sensed it yesterday already. I thought maybe yesterday someone would have shot a bit lower but the course is a bit tricky. Yesterday and today, the wind was swirling quite a lot and it was really difficult to get the wind right. I think that's what most people are struggling with.
Q. 68 was the best score.
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Obviously a couple of pins are tucked away, also, but the mainly the wind, even though it wasn't much, it was still swirling around a little.
