Q. Here with Maude-Aimee LeBlanc; 5-under overall through two rounds. How good did a 3-under feel for you today?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Pretty good. I mean, I saved a lot of pars. My putting was really good. Just little hiccup on No. 8.

Other than that, it's pretty solid.

Q. Four birdies on the card. Did any one of those birdies stand out?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, number -- the par-3, 13?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, I made birdie that hole two days in a row now. I think it's probably the toughest par-3 out here, yeah.

Q. A little bit calmer conditions here in the morning and the wind picked up late afternoon yesterday. How did that kind of affect your game plan for this morning?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, it makes a big difference for sure. I was able to I guess not be as aggressive off the tee and play more conservative without the wind, so I feel like I was able to make better swings, if that makes sense.

Q. Uh-huh.

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Without the wind picking up. So, yeah, it makes a huge difference.

Q. You hit 14 of 18 greens both days. There are some tricky pins out there I've heard. How do you kind of get your -- are you playing more to the center of greens or attacking the pins when you can?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, definitely more center of the green. I don't think we go at any pins unless it's a wedge in.

But, yeah, I mean, I probably -- I hit the ball really high with a lot of spin, so I think that's an advantage here because the greens are so firm, so I can kind of somewhat get some control over it.

Q. It's kind of a shorter golf course than what we usually play. You averaged 290 off the tee today. How much is that distance helping?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: It's helping a lot. Some holes, like I said, I mean, the greens are tough to hit, so when you have a short iron in or a wedge, it's a huge advantage.

Q. Heading into the weekend, we've still got a lot of golf left to play here today. Probably going to be near the top of the leaderboard at the end of Friday. How good does it feel to be in contention heading into Saturday and Sunday?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Really good. Yeah, since the beginning of the season, I mean, my goal has been just to try to improve any ranking each week.

I'll try to do that again this week.

Q. What's changed for you as far as your mental fortitude out here? We saw you at the JTBC Classic kind of in contention; you're in contention again here. Is there something different than years past?

MAUDE AIMEE LEBLANC: Not really. Again, my putting has been key for me last year and so far this year, so I know when -- I'm comfortable on the greens I know it's going to be a pretty good week.
