Q. Here with Gemma Dryburgh. I don't want to say it feels like Scotland because I know it's a lot colder there.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah.

Q. Chilly conditions out here today. Played really well; 5-under 66. Noticing a two on No. 5. Let's just walk through that shot.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, I had a 6-iron in and that green kind of was from front to back pretty severely, so we were just landing it on the front of the green; did exactly that.

And then actually rolled just like a putt -- we thought it was about maybe getting to five, ten feet, but then ended up going in, so that was pretty special.

Q. What was your reaction?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: My caddie and I just had a big high five. We couldn't really believe it, to be honest. It was just rolling for so long and then, yeah, just rolled in.

Q. Playing out here at Palos Verdes; obviously last week at Wilshire. It's a little bit different, different conditions. Probably feels a little bit more like home to you. Did that help you today?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it's kind of close to the ocean and that kind of wind, especially on that back nine, getting those par-3s pretty exposed, so that always helps; reminds me of home, which is nice.

Q. What has been working so well for you? You had 26 putts today; 12 of 14 fairways; 13 of 18 greens. Seems like your game is really solid, but what difference did you notice today?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, like you said, everything is pretty good. I just hit it really solid. I hit more greens than I did last week, so I've kind of been working on that a little bit.

And, yeah, the putting obviously was helpful. Made a few putts, and, yeah, I mean, was it 15, the par-5 -- no, 16, the Par-5. Got there in two and kind of nice bunker shot; hit to like two foot which was nice.

Bit of a mixture today.

Q. Heck of an up and down there on 18. Made kind of a bunch of pars from 9 to 15. Were there a lot of up and downs or...

GEMMA DRYBURGH: No. I hit a few greens as well. I had a few fringes as well, just putting off the fringe.

Then 18 was in a divot as well, so that was quite a tricky little shot. Managed to get up and down, which was good.

Q. These days always feel kind of good. How good does it feel to shoot a low number on day one?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it was nice to get off to a good start. Just sets me up well for the rest of the week.

Q. What positives will you carry with you ahead to the rest of the week?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, like you said, everything is kind of going well in my game. I'm hitting it well, so just got to keep that going. Yeah, just keep looking at the ocean and the pretty views.
