Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Nasa Hataoka, currently tied with Jin Young Ko at the top of this leaderboard. How are you feeling after the first two days?
NASA HATAOKA: Today was an afternoon start. I feel like I putted really good today, so I think that really helped my score today.
Q. You finished with three consecutive birdies. Walk me through those last three holes.
NASA HATAOKA: Yes, 7, the par-3, that was a short one, so I was able to hit the pin. It was like a tap-in. 8 and 9, it wasn't a very long -- it was a pretty long putt, but I was able to read the line really good. Greens weren't easy, but I feel like I was able to hit it good.
Q. Greens are definitely challenging. How important was it to take advantage of this course when the wind started to die down this afternoon?
NASA HATAOKA: Yes, the winds were pretty strong. The greens are pretty tight, narrow. So my plan was to hit the green, not try to be too aggressive.
On the back nine the winds kind of got weaker, so I was able to hit the pin.
Q. What will you focus on heading into this weekend at the top of the leaderboard?
NASA HATAOKA: Yeah, I feel like I have really good momentum right now, so I want to keep that going and play good the next two days.
