YUKA SASO: I think the distance control with my second shot and making putts, I think that led to the good score.

Q. Are you a player that plays well in the wind typically?

YUKA SASO: No. If I have a choice, I wouldn't play in windy conditions.

Q. But you liked it today?

YUKA SASO: Well, no, but I did my best to adjust and tried to put up with the wind as much as I can. Yeah, I'm just very happy.

Q. Does it give you a lot of confidence headed into the weekend?

YUKA SASO: We'll see. If it's gusty, windy like this, you can't really expect anything. You just have to be patient and hope to make some putts. Hopefully I can keep doing this. If not, that will be okay, too.
