Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Jenny Coleman. 4-under today in these conditions, where did you find that round in these kind of winds?
JENNY COLEMAN: I was hitting the ball well, just giving myself some opportunities and finally just dropping some putts. Most of them weren't that close, but a couple bombs, a couple 10 to 15 feet, which was nice to finally see some putts go in.
Q. I've been hearing -- you would expect with the weather we had overnight, these greens, a little bit of poa annua in them would bump up a little bit, but I hear they're still putting like glass. What have you found on the greens this week that's been working for you?
JENNY COLEMAN: Yeah, that's definitely been pretty fast these first two rounds compared to practice. They definitely sped up right for that tournament round, and they still are pretty fast. Just the last couple holes maybe the poa annua popped up and they got a touch slower, but still fast.
Q. Are you a player that likes fast greens?
JENNY COLEMAN: Yeah, I do. I prefer fast greens. My stroke kind of just adapts to that, just not a big, punchy stroke, just like a nice smooth one.
Q. Being out here at Wilshire, you grew up in Palos Verdes area. Does this feel like a hometown event for you?
JENNY COLEMAN: It kind of does. It's very close to home, like 45, 55 minutes. Does it feel like home? No, but I'll take any events within driving distance on Tour for sure.
Q. Does it make you a little more comfortable out here, kind of free your game up a little bit?
JENNY COLEMAN: Yeah, I kind of know the conditions, and especially distances is equivalent to where I'm at, just sea level, and yeah, used to the grasses. Grew up on poa annua and the last few years have been on bent, but same idea, been most of my career on that, so yeah.
Q. Heading into the weekend, you're going to be probably three, four back of the lead but still very much in contention, very much in the mix. What's the game plan headed into the weekend?
JENNY COLEMAN: Just same game plan, keep continuing to hit the ball well, just set myself up, make it easy as possible, and if you miss, make sure those misses are where you can still try and make par and not scrambling for automatic bogey.
Q. What's the mindset kind of being in contention again? I know sometimes it can change the way you think a little bit.
JENNY COLEMAN: Just stay calm and focused and keep to my game and don't get distracted by anything.
