Q. Here with Emma Talley. Heck of a round today, dude. 4-under 67 in these conditions. It's a little chilly, pretty windy, but you said it didn't feel super hard out there.

EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I mean, my coach came in on Monday morning for four hours and that was a game changer.

Also been working really hard with my mental coach, so everything just felt really good. I always love this golf course. Obviously a lot of golf to be played, but I'm playing really well and enjoying the process right now.

Q. You and your instructor Todd Trimble, you've been playing pretty solid golf, how much does having him come down and help you out help?

EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I was actually in the middle of my round on Wednesday of last week, and I looked at my now fiancée and said, Get Todd here. So he flew in on Sunday night. Got here at 11:00 pm, and then he was only here like I said for a few hours.

So that was really big, especially in these conditions. Like when you're hitting the ball really solid that is correct goes a long way.

Q. So just like what at Wilshire sets up so well for your game?

EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, first of all I think it sets up really good for a fade, which is what I hit. I also just have always loved this golf course ever since my rookie year. I had a good finish my rookie year, maybe the next year.

I've always liked this golf course. For some reason it sets up good for my eye. Like I said, I'm hitting the ball really well right now, and that goes a long way, especially when it's windy.

Q. Putted pretty well but said you still left a few out there. Are you a player that likes poana?

EMMA TALLEY: I might this week. I putted well today. They're just tricky. To putt well in the afternoon, that's great, because tomorrow I'll have fresh greens at 7:30 in the morning.

I think I could be lucky or thankful that some putts dropped today in the afternoon, and hopefully some more will drop tomorrow morning.

Q. You said a lot of golf left and totally right; here on Thursday. Three more rounds. How much confidence does a 68 give you heading into the rest of the week?

EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, like I said, I been playing really well. I worked really hard in the off-season with all my coaches, my trainers, mental coach. I mean, I could go on and on. There is a big team around me. We been working very hard and I feel confident.

Obviously like I said there is a lot of golf to be played, but at least I know I feel good about my game. I'm excited for the next three days.

Q. I know you mentioned on the broadcast with Kay last week, but we haven't really talked to you much since your engagement. What's it been like to be engaged, and how cool has this past few weeks been for you?

EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I already planned the whole wedding. I think that's my next venture in life is to be a wedding planner.

I think we got engaged four weeks today. Today is the 21st, isn't it? Yeah. Four weeks ago got engaged, and the whole wedding is already planned.

We're on Cloud 9. We were really excited. We're getting married in Hawaii, which is super exciting.

Q. They say men have to play good golf to be happy, but women have to be happy to play good golf. You seem pretty happy right now.

EMMA TALLEY: Of course. Everything has gone really well right now. Like I said, I think that definitely shows on the golf course when your off-golf-course life is great. Patrick has been following me around the past couple weeks which has been so nice just kind of hanging out.

So it's been really nice to have him out here, and I'm going to my best friend on Sunday here from when I was a little kid. Just a lot of good people around me at the moment.

Q. Who is that best friend?

EMMA TALLEY: Her name a Carlynn (phonetic.) We've been best friends since we were two years old and she's coming out. She's coming out for next week but she's going to get here a day early on Sunday. She'll enjoy coming out and watching. It's just great.
