Quick Quotes
Q. All right, Nasa, a 4-under day today. How were you feeling as you got the first round under your belt?
NASA HATAOKA: Yes, today was a morning start. Wasn't really feeling good at the practice range.
I feel like I played really solid today so I'm happy with the round today.
Q. You say you didn't feel well, but then got off to a very hot start with three birdies in the first four holes. What was working so well by the time you got to the first tee?
NASA HATAOKA: Yeah, so there is things I'm working on with my swing, so I'm not looking at my result. I'm trying to concentrate on each shot.
So I think that really helped a lot.
Q. What are you working on in your swing?
NASA HATAOKA: Working on two things. One is ball position. Trying not put it too much inside.
Two, use more body turn on my swing.
Q. Good things to work on. Overall, how would you assess your first day here at that time DIO Implant LA Open?
NASA HATAOKA: Yes, Wilshire is not an easy course. 4-under is a pretty good start for me. So I still got three more days to go, so I'll try my best to play good from tomorrow, too.
Q. What did you take away specifically from this round? You talked about the swing. Did you feel the improvements throughout the day?
NASA HATAOKA: Yes, it's actually helping me a lot. When I'm, you know, feeling not very good, I try to focus on the ball position and my swing.
I feel like that's been helping me a lot so I'll keep the same thing.
