Quick Quotes
Q. Morgan, how would you characterize how today went for you?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: Today was windier, and I was like just on the brink of having a decent round and saved as much as possible and made a poor decision on the last hole. I knew I had a chance at least to make the cut, but it happens.
Q. Physically after two rounds, how are you feeling?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: Pretty good. I feel solid. Excited to play again. I don't know when that will be, in a couple weeks, I think. Yeah, I'm excited about the progress.
Q. How much of your comeback was -- I know you had starts. How much of that was wanting to fulfill that, but I guess how much of it was wanting to prove to yourself that you could do this again?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: Yeah, I definitely wanted to prove to myself that I could do it again. I know that I can and just need to sharpen up.
Q. What do you feel like you need to sharpen up the most after the two rounds?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: My short game was pretty bad. I actually came into the week with my short game feeling solid. I don't know, caught some weird lies and just didn't really hit my spots. Putting had a lot of lips out there, and my irons can improve a lot out there.
Q. Beyond the golf, what surprised you the most that you learned from this whole experience this week?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: What surprised me the most was how pure this course was and just how pure PGA TOUR events are and how awesome the camaraderie and welcoming was back. It was really special.
Yeah, I'm just happy to be back out.
Q. Do you have a specific plan about when you'll play next?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: I think TPC Avenel in D.C. I really like that course. I saw they did some changes. I want to play these three starts I have somewhat soon so I can continue playing the rest of the year and hopefully get my card for next year.
Q. You said if you didn't, you would do Mondays and everything. Would you do PGA TOUR Mondays, Korn Ferry Mondays, something like that?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: Yeah, if the TOUR doesn't have an opposite field event, I'd play probably a couple Korn Ferry events. Just depends on where my status is.
Q. Seems like since the article about you came out, I heard a lot of fans rooting you on and people talking about you. Did you feel that while you were out there, that support?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: Definitely. It was awesome playing with Harold too, keeping it light. Yeah, the support was amazing. I felt very grateful.
Q. Heading into this week, how many, I guess, back-to-back rounds had you played of 18 prepping for your return?
MORGAN HOFFMANN: I was at Ohoopee Match Club in Georgia, and the caddies over there were great. We prepped like 18 to 27 a day for the last ten days or so. So I was ready to walk at least.
