Q. Webb, tale of two rounds. I guess this is an example of don't give up, keep grinding, something good's going to happen, and what a stretch, five birdies in a row.

WEBB SIMPSON: Yeah, that's why I stay patient. It's hard to. I was frustrated. But I felt like a round like today, you just need a little something to get you going. The wind was bad for us, I knew we'd have trouble getting birdie opportunities on 15 and 16. Certainly didn't expect to get all five, but it puts me back into the golf tournament.

Q. They were not like two-putt birdies. You chipped in at 15, long-putted 14. That was, I think, a 14-footer at 17. Then 18, that was 37 feet. This was a grind. They all went in.

WEBB SIMPSON: Yeah, you're not expecting to make those, like I did on 18, but my reads were off today. For whatever reason those last few holes my reads were a lot better, speed was better. The greens were a little slow today, so it took me a while to get used to hitting it a little harder.

It's hard to match the read and the speed, but I did that well coming in. I feel a lot different now than I did one hour ago.
