Q. Bogey-free on a day like this. That's pretty awesome. How do you feel right now?
ALISON LEE: Yeah, I feel really good. Obviously towards the middle and end of the round it got pretty windy out there, but just did my best to stay patient.
And par was a good score on a lot of the holes with this wind, but just tried to take advantage of the birdie opportunities when I had them.
I feel like my strongest suit today was putting. I mean, I was able to read everything good. I basically made all the birdie chances I had today.
Q. Uh-huh.
ALISON LEE: So I feel like that was my strongest suit.
Hopefully I can move forward for the rest of the week, three more days, and just try and do the same thing.
Q. Five birdies. Tell us, any stand-out moments or just five solid strokes?
ALISON LEE: Honestly, nothing much. To be honest, it was a pretty boring round for me, and that's a good thing sometimes.
So, yeah, I mean, I feel like I played pretty consistently out there. Like I said, it did get tricky with the wind, but I feel like my caddie, Tyler, and I, we did really well getting the right number into a lot of the pins, and I feel like that's the most important part.
Q. ... putting at all, or was it mostly on the drives and the...
ALISON LEE: I would say a little bit. Not too much. I don't know, for me, just today was one of those days I was able to read the greens and kind of knew where it was going to go; just kind of had that feel out there. That's what you need.
I started off the day with two good putts, and I feel like sometimes you just need -- the beginning of the round you just kind of need like a good testy putt to kind of go in, and then you kind of get a good feel for the greens for the rest of the round.
Q. You had that big putt, that momentum building putt.
ALISON LEE: I would say the first few holes. I mean, the first hole I made one putt; I stuck it to a foot. I made one putt.
The second hole I made like a good five-footer.
Second hole, yeah.
Q. Seven feet.
ALISON LEE: Seven feet. So that kind of got the ball rolling for the day and kind of gave me a little bit of confidence for the rest of the round, yeah.
Q. What was your take on this golf course first time you saw it? Did you think it was something that would suit you?
ALISON LEE: No, not really. You just never know going into the week, especially with how windy it is today. It's a slightly different wind and we didn't know how windy it would get; the first few holes it wasn't really windy at all.
But I feel like my game is pretty solid right now. I would say as the year went on I feel like I've been slowly building up every week and getting a little bit better.
Coming off Chevron, getting top 10, that obviously gave me a lot of confidence coming into this week and setting a good tone for the rest of the year.
So I'm just trying to build on it every week that I'm out here and just try and get better.
