Quick Quotes
Q. Good tournament. I know you're on the way back. How do you feel?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: The two birdies at the end made it feel a little better. I didn't play as good today as I did yesterday, and I kept putting poorly, so I was just struggling. Yeah, the two birdies helped, and overall it was probably the best week I've had this year, so that's a good sign.
Q. What do you attribute that to as far as maybe your mental approach or whatever?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Mentally I was in a good space, and swing felt really good. Even through the struggles today, it wasn't horrible. This golf course is unforgiving.
Then consequently I had a lot of par putts from, say, six feet, and I was just putting badly. I didn't make any of them. Top ten, beginning of the week the way I've been playing, I probably would have taken it. It feels a little sour from where I was yesterday. I was up there, but good signs.
Q. Good finish, though. That's good. I was curious, you've seen the golf course go through its evolutions, and there are small changes each year. I wonder what you thought of this year's changes on 11 and 15 and maybe other things you noticed?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I think 15 the way I played it today it was a good change. When it firms out, I had 5-iron in there today, and I think that's a good -- it makes it a more exciting hole. 11 is tough. I don't know what to say. I don't think they're going to make changes that are going to make the golf course easier.
Q. Trying to keep up with the modern game, so to speak?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Likely they just do a few holes at a time, so people don't complain too much.
Q. So you played a good number of Masters, and some of them were very successful. When you come here -- I understand everyone will be different, but when you come here like this year, are there things that remind you of those best moments of the good years and things that come to your mind?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Every time I arrive here, that first drive down Magnolia, there's very good memories. Even now looking out over the special place, for me 2011 was a dream come true and life-changing experience, and I was very blessed to have achieved that. Augusta will always be special.
Q. Just go back to 15. The extra yardage there is good as far as --
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, I think so. We've played it both ways. It was wet on Thursday, and it played real long. It dried out today, so 5-iron into 11. It's just a tough hole. I don't think it's unfair.
Q. It's almost like --
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: It's just a really difficult hole.
Q. Those two are almost the same difficulty. Just take the par away, and they play about the same as far as length.
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah. The thing about 11 they gave us a bit more space off the tee, so they give you a bit there, but they add length. You just have to have good shots. It's just tough.
