Quick Quotes
Q. Austin, how would you assess your round today?
AUSTIN GREASER: Yeah, I played pretty good on the front nine, kind of rough first seven holes. I didn't really hit a lot of good shots, but good making the turn on 8 and 9 and making some birdies. Just kind of lost it a little bit on the back nine. Made some mistakes and really paid for it.
Q. What were the conditions like for you out there?
AUSTIN GREASER: They were pretty tough. I think it is for everybody. It's 20 mile an hour winds with some gusts, so everybody's facing a little bit of a tougher golf course than probably yesterday. Got the best of me a little bit today.
Q. Did you get a chance to look at the leaderboard, talk with coach as far as cut line and that kind of stuff?
AUSTIN GREASER: No, not yet.
Q. What kind of take-aways do you have through two rounds at this golf course?
AUSTIN GREASER: Yeah, I want to reflect back on it in a little bit. I'm not extremely excited about it now, how the finish was. But I'm playing at the Masters, a dream come true for a long time and a dream for a lot of people. I got to live it this week, so I really enjoyed it.
Q. From the golf standpoint, you said it kind of got away from you on the back nine. What really stood out on the stretch coming home?
AUSTIN GREASER: I didn't sink any putts. Hit a lot of good putts, just didn't go in the hole. The wind was really tough to judge. Got out of position on the tee shot a couple times. Once you're out of position, it's really hard to make up for it.
The pins were a little tougher today, firmer golf course today. The wind was up. Even around the greens, it didn't make it easy. I think that's what probably cost me is more off the tee than anything.
Q. What's been the best part of this experience this week?
AUSTIN GREASER: Yeah, that's a good question. Like I said, just being here. I think it's a dream for so many, and the fact that I got to live it this week, the fact that I got to feel the nerves, feel the pressure this week, that's what we dream of as players, and that's what I enjoyed feeling, and that's what you practice for.
So I think that's probably my main take-away and the best part of this week.
Q. What goes through your mind as you look at these people that are here for you?
AUSTIN GREASER: Yeah, very grateful. Most of them are from Ohio, so quite a ways down here. I really, really appreciate their support, and it's been fun to share it with them and share some of the journey with them. It's awesome. I love them to death, and it's been really fun.
