Quick Quotes
Q. Sergio, can you take us through the round today.
SERGIO GARCIA: Obviously, it was -- the rain yesterday made it a little bit easier today because it was tricky, it was very windy, gusty. So it wasn't easy to pull the right clubs.
I felt like I played fairly well for the most part. Obviously, a couple bad shots here and there. Just for some reason I'm struggling on the par-5s on this course. It doesn't matter if I play them well or badly, I don't seem to score on them, and you need to score well on the par-5s if you want to shoot a score here.
Other than that, I felt like I fought hard, but obviously didn't get as much as I would love to.
Q. So with all your experience on this golf course and after winning in 2017, when you stand on the 1st tee here, is it easier, or is it more comfortable than other majors or no?
SERGIO GARCIA: No. Still nervous. You're still trying to do well, and it doesn't matter -- obviously, if you won before, it's nice, but that's not going to help you with the shots or the bounces or the putts or whatever. You still have to stand there and hit the right shots, hit the right shots at the right time, and then make the putts when you have to.
Q. So you prepare as hard as always to come here every year?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah.
Q. The preparation is the same, huh?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yes, it doesn't change.
Q. I was going to say the change of energy here compared to the last two years, how good it is to have the patrons again. It feels like 2017?
SERGIO GARCIA: It's night and day without a doubt. Augusta without the patrons is not the same. To hear the roars and the cheers and everything, it's obviously super special. Yeah, it obviously makes it a lot more special.
