Quick Quotes
Q. Lee, I imagine there's a bit of frustration coming off 18, but overall what are your thoughts on the way you were patient today?
LEE WESTWOOD: Yeah, it was good. Not an easy day out there. The wind was really tough. You've got to club well around here. This kind of wind obviously makes it tricky. I think 72 is a decent start to the tournament.
Q. 25 years ago you made your first appearance here. Obviously you learned a lot during that time. What is it that you think is the most important factor given the way the conditions have been in the lead-up to it with the rain and the wind today?
LEE WESTWOOD: There was a lot of chopping and changing. I played Sunday afternoon. It was calm. It was firm. The greens were fast. Then again on Monday, a little bit of breeze. Tuesday lashes it down, golf course softens up. Once again yesterday did the same. Today it's drying out again. It's not as firm as it was on Sunday, and you've got, I guess, a 10 to 15 mile an hour breeze.
So experience counts for a lot. I played this golf course in all different kinds of conditions, and the practice really doesn't prepare you for how the golf course played today. So it's important to have lots of knowledge of this place.
Q. Do you still learn things about it even after all this time?
LEE WESTWOOD: I learned not to tee right off the 18th tee. I've been in there before, and it's not nice, and I did it again. But I ended up making a good 5.
