Quick Quotes
Q. Cam, your first Masters, what was that like?
CAMERON DAVIS: It was a tough round of golf, but very enjoyable. Great to be out there and get my first one under my belt out there.
I actually hit the ball really well, just didn't make anything happen, and it kind of turned into a bit of a grind with the winds being hard to read. But I was prepared for that to be the case. I can't be too disappointed with saying good shots end up in rough spots.
So we'll have to get back after it again tomorrow and try to do a little better.
Q. We learn something every day we play golf. What did you learn about Augusta National today?
CAMERON DAVIS: I think I played the golf course as though it was still firm and fast. I think I found it difficult to adjust the green reads back to slightly slower speeds because they were very quick early in the week and they slowed down, obviously a little softer today. But I was leaving everything a little high, and I could have adjusted my reads a little bit better.
It was just a little difficult to trust it was not going to break as much as it was earlier in the week. So just keep hitting the shots that I've been hitting and leave it in some better spots around the greens. It would be nice to make a birdie at some point.
Q. That's what I was going to bring up. No birdies for today. You've left them all in the bag for tomorrow?
CAMERON DAVIS: I'm ready to make them all tomorrow.
