Quick Quotes
Q. Tell us about your round. What was the most difficult part, and what went well today?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I think nothing was hard today. I think it was a really enjoyable round. It was really fun. Obviously, I got to play with Tiger. He was really nice with me, and Louis also. The crowd also was amazing. They were all telling me that make sure you try to finish before Tiger. That way the people don't start moving, but they were really respectful, so it was an enjoyable round. It was good.
Q. The conditions were getting tougher and tougher with the wind. How did you adapt to that, and what do you do with that?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I hit the ball amazing. I think the key for me this week was going to hit the driver good, and that's what I did today. Yeah, I think I would love to make a few more putts today, but overall, I'm pretty happy the way I finished.
Q. Can you talk about the eagle on 9?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, that is a tough second shot, obviously, when you are downhill. I hit a good driver. It went and carried. It was pretty much on the flat part. I had a really good number. I hit a good shot, and then I saw the people going like this, and I knew it was going to be close to go in, and it went in.
Q. You were talking about what it was like to play with Tiger. How did you prepare for that? What was it like? You mentioned the crowd. Did you find it to be a distraction at all, or did they give you energy along with?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Probably at the beginning I noticed that there was a lot of people, but then I was trying to talk to my caddie, and I couldn't hear anything that he was saying. I got really used to it, and I didn't even think about it.
Q. Was that back on 1 when you couldn't hear?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Probably number 1, and then after that it was fine.
