Quick Quotes
AARON JARVIS: Overall tough conditions out there. It wasn't easy, but I had a blast from the start. Made a few sloppy mistakes to start the round, but drove it well. Just need to clean up some iron shots and make a few more putts tomorrow, but overall I had a blast out there for my first major round.
Q. Were you nervous?
AARON JARVIS: Yeah, I was pretty nervous on the first tee, but as a couple of holes went on, I got used to the crowd and the tournament atmosphere and then I just zoned into my game, but I need to clean up a few things for tomorrow.
Q. What presented the challenges? What are some things that you saw today that you might not have seen before in your career?
AARON JARVIS: The winds and the tough pins out there. Like the slopes on hole 6, that huge slope on that green, stuff like that. Not really used to playing in those kind of conditions, so just trying to adapt my game a little bit and have a good one tomorrow.
Q. Would you say that shooting 81 here is probably the best you've ever felt about shooting 81? I'm sure if you are shooting an 81 at a college tournament, you're not too happy.
AARON JARVIS: Obviously, I don't like shooting 81s, but there's still positives to take away from it. Obviously, it's my first round in the Masters, first major championship, so, yeah, I've got a few things I could take away from this round.
Q. What did you think of Zach Johnson? Did you interact much?
AARON JARVIS: We talked all day. It was great. Team RSM, got to speak to him about that and St. Andrews and just had a blast with him.
Q. What's the game plan now? What do you try to do tomorrow?
AARON JARVIS: Clean up a few things with the irons. Drove it well today and make a few more short putts. Get the putts a little closer.
