Quick Quotes
Q. You're the first one to tee off tomorrow. Tell me your general feelings about that.
JOSE OLAZABAL: Obviously it's nice to somehow open the tournament. Well, apart from that, I would have to say my condition is not the best. I haven't been able to prepare this tournament as I would like to, having some issues physically, and I'll try to do the best I can.
Q. We were talking to J.J., you might not know him yet.
JOSE OLAZABAL: I will know him tomorrow.
Q. He's very excited about playing with you. He's a very nice guy. When you have someone like that playing with you, do you help him? Do you support him?
JOSE OLAZABAL: Obviously, I cannot help him on the golf course, but it's going to be nice. We're going to be a twosome. I think that will make things a little bit more comfortable rhythm-wise out here. Usually the golf course takes quite long to play. Playing in a twosome, that's going to be nice tomorrow.
Obviously, he's playing well, and as much as he might be willing to play with me trying to learn something, most probably I will learn much more from him than he from me. Yeah, it's always nice to be here.
Q. 25 years since Tiger's win in 1997. What do you remember of that win?
JOSE OLAZABAL: Well, what I remember is he out leap everybody. He was well ahead. He stayed ahead, and he increased the lead every day. So it was just wonderful to watch.
I had the opportunity to play with him in '95 still as an amateur, and I was really impressed. Obviously, the speed of the swing, how long he was hitting it. It was wonderful to watch, I have to say.
