Quick Quotes
Q. Let's go back a year. Still remember a year ago you running out here because you were so excited that you qualified for this year. Kind of go back to those moments after you found out you had qualified for this year's Masters.
ROBERT MACINTYRE: Yeah, it was incredible. I remember finding out when I got in speaking to Sky Sports. It's like you're 12th right now. You might make it back here.
I came out, and we stood there with the members watching two TVs. One was on the leaders, and the other one was on the 18th green. Brian Harman had about a 20 footer. I just stood there and prayed that he didn't hole it at the end of the day. When he missed that, I just came charging out. My family were standing just in the corner there. I came out, just a dream come true.
It was a dream to get here last year, and then when I arrived, I liked the golf course. It suited my eye. Just everything felt good, and to perform the way I did was icing on the cake.
Q. Where do you feel like your game is coming into this year?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: A lot better than last year. Obviously, I didn't know what to expect last year when I came here. I was nervous. I had played probably more leading up to it, but this year, I mean, we had to kind of pull back a little bit on what we were playing just to get into certain events.
No, I played last week, played great. Third round, I don't know what happened other than I didn't get my ice cream the night before. I mean, I just went out on Sunday, last Sunday there, and done the exact same things and played well.
So the game's in good shape. Just have to try to put four rounds together.
Q. I know you only have one year of reference, but just some of the changes you've seen, specifically on 11 and the tee moved back on 15?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: Yeah, great changes. I played there with Sandy Lyle. He's obviously seen this change dramatically. It's just subtle changes like around the 11th green. When you used to bail out right and it would be a tough chat, but you could kind of run it up. This year it's about three foot deeper. So you're having to think and to bank it to have to fly it on. The green slopes away.
There's a lot of things. I've only seen the back nine, but I'm sure there's a few changes in the front.
Q. What are your thoughts on the 15th? Did you notice it playing any differently with the extra length there on the tee?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: No, because they knocked us forward, all the tees right to the front. So the length wasn't there, wasn't biting us today. I'm sure when they knock it back there, it's probably going to be a layup down the left for me.
Q. Do you have a yardage where you feel comfortable going for it there?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: It just really depends on the wind and the pin position. You don't really want to fly that green too much because it's got a downslope and you can go out the other side. It's not an easy hole. It's there to make you think.
I think it might -- I may take that out of my hands or my caddie's hands by just saying, look, if this thing goes back over 215 yards, then we're not going for it.
