Quick Quotes
Q. Amari, long day?
AMARI AVERY: Super long day.
Q. You were able to end it tied for the lead with a couple more holes to play.
AMARI AVERY: Oh, I didn't know that.
Q. Just talk about the grind of waiting around and having to flip on the switch and go out there and play.
AMARI AVERY: Honestly, I was just chilling, listening to music, hanging out with some friends. Luckily the rain cleared up, and we were waiting around, let's go hit on the range for a bit. They said 3:00 was going to be the first tee time. Justin said go eat, so I ate.
Q. How big has arriving in college early, getting that experience, maybe maturing a little bit, how big has that been for you to allow you to play well this week?
AMARI AVERY: It's been huge, I think. College has really changed my perspective on golf a little bit. Just kind of being a little bit easier on myself. Of course having good coaches like Justin and Katie and amazing teammates is always good.
Q. What do you think it's going to be like tomorrow? Get up, head out, head over to Augusta National for the day. Seems like a lot packed into a day.
AMARI AVERY: It will be a lot compared to last year. It was a lot smoother having to only play one round a day, but I'm only finishing two holes, and they're not too hard.
So two holes, 7:30, and then head over to Augusta and have some fun.
