Quick Quotes
Q. Good day today. 4-under, clean scorecard; four bogeys. How do you feel you played?
ANNA NORDQVIST: I played really well. I really only missed one green today, so it was consistent. Missed a few fairways, but felt like I left myself some spots where I could still hit it on the green. Solid putting. All the birdies I made was close range.
But, I mean, overall I felt like I rolled the ball well on the greens. Hit a lot of good shots.
Q. So overall looked like perfect scoring conditions out there. How was the course?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, I mean, the course was great. Greens are probably as pure as I've ever seen them.
Yeah, once you hit the fairway you're going to set yourself up for probably a good opportunity.
But overall, I mean, I'm happy it was solid, and that's all I can ask for really.
Q. You've always played well here, always played well at majors. What is about this course and majors that seem to bring out the best in you?
ANNA NORDQVIST: I think I get any adrenaline pumping a little bit more in majors. I just love those tournaments, love the challenge, love the tougher courses.
I guess I'm not a big fan when it just becomes a putting competition or it's just like the shooting. But I think I had a good strategy today and felt I executed pretty well.
Q. Just real quick wanted to ask, it's the last time here. Chevron is doing some great things. What are your memories here at Mission Hills and the time you spent here?
ANNA NORDQVIST: I definitely think this is one of the best stops on tour, and I hope we don't lose it as far as a venue, that there will be another tournament coming back here. It's way too good of a course to leave.
You know, I think just coming down 18, like the turquoise water, I think just the atmosphere with the fans, it just always felt like a major and like a special place where you want to do well.
The course has always been really good.
