Q. So you had a great round today. What was going through your mind?

LATANNA STONE: I was just going out there and having fun. I really wasn't expecting to make birdie on the first hole, but it was a nice little treat to start off with. I was trying to play steady today, which I felt like even par was a pretty good score out there.

Q. Did you feel like the conditions changed at all throughout the round?

LATANNA STONE: Towards the end of the round, it felt more windy for sure. Coming in on 18, it was blowing, and I wasn't expecting my 5-wood to carry that far, but it did. I had a good birdie on the last hole.

Q. Ingrid Lindblad is here. She said that your mom drove the two of you here?

LATANNA STONE: Yes.

Q. Did she have any advice for you since she played here before?

LATANNA STONE: Well, she just said to cherish every moment and have fun. She gave me a little advice on this course. We haven't talked about Augusta yet, but I need to get with her about that.

Q. Great. She said she had a fun run-in with you on the bridge.

LATANNA STONE: Yeah, we're wearing the same exact shirt.

Q. What's the experience like being here with a teammate?

LATANNA STONE: It's fun. I really haven't seen her that much even though we're right down the hall from each other. There's just so many people here. It's nice to see her. I'm like hey, Iggy, how's it going? Or play well.

Q. What does it mean to you to represent LSU on this stage?

LATANNA STONE: I love LSU, so it's a real honor to represent it and wear purple and gold. I can't wait to see my coaches out here, to see them watching both Ingrid and I.

Q. How was the Chairman's Dinner last night?

LATANNA STONE: It was so fun. It was the most incredible experience I ever had. I got to meet a lot of new people. I got to sit with my friends. It was a real honor to be there.

Q. You had a great round today. What are your expectations for tomorrow?

LATANNA STONE: Again, play steady, have fun, and don't think too much because just play your game.
