Quick Quotes
Q. Anna, just some first impressions from today?
ANNA MORGAN: Very pleased. Very excited to be here. Honestly, I had so much fun out there. Really no complaints. So it was a good day.
Q. You had a pretty active front nine. Tell me about that.
ANNA MORGAN: I did. So just had a silly three-putt on the 2nd hole. Then the 3rd hole, actually made a really clutch bogey, which I can honestly say gave me momentum. I know not a lot of people can say that about a bogey, but it was a really good bogey.
Then just hit some really close shots and made a couple putts. It was just a solid nine.
Q. Toward the end of your day, what kind of adjustments did you make as the wind came in?
ANNA MORGAN: Mainly just playing conservative, going for the middle of the greens, not trying to get too aggressive unless I had a short club in my hand. Just trying to hit fairways, greens, and two-putts.
Q. Anything from your practice round that maybe you didn't notice or that carried over today to help you?
ANNA MORGAN: I think just paying close attention to the greens and knowing where to miss it was really important out there, especially with the wind. Trying to play it to the fat parts of the green is really important out there.
Q. Anything you're going to work on for tomorrow?
ANNA MORGAN: Lag putting just a little bit, get that tightened up. Overall, still really pleased with the way I played.
Q. How was the Chairman's Dinner?
ANNA MORGAN: It was so much fun. I am lucky enough to have gone to Augusta before, but that experience was very different than my previous ones, and the dinner was so much fun. Just hanging out with all the girls was a lot of fun as well.
Q. How fun was your table?
ANNA MORGAN: A lot of fun. I got to sit by two of my friends, Megan and Ivy, and we were just cracking jokes the whole time. I felt like I was right at home.
Q. What are some of the feelings you felt when you were driving into Augusta? I know you said you've already been, but being on the shuttle to the Chairman's Dinner?
ANNA MORGAN: I think any time going down Magnolia Lane, you're going to have goose bumps, and I had goose bumps last night. It was an indescribable experience. I can't say anything other than I had so much fun.
