Q. I just noticed what really seemed to be a nice moment between you and your family before you teed off. Can you just take me through what that moment was about?

ANEKA SEUMANUTAFA: It's kind of a ritual thing. We kind of do it every single tournament. I hug my mom first, and I hug my grandpa and then my grandma. It's kind of a thing we always do before the start of every single tournament.

Q. What sort of words were you sharing with each other?

ANEKA SEUMANUTAFA: Just I love you, go get them today. My mom told me to hit it straight even though she has no idea what's going on. Just like words of encouragement.

Q. I think your mom gave you something that she maybe got on the way in?

ANEKA SEUMANUTAFA: That was my coach. I have it in my pocket. It's been in my pocket the entire day, but it's a Buckeye since Ohio State is Buckeyes. It's the sign of good luck. It's been in my pocket all day.

Q. Your coach gave it to your mom, or your coach gave that to you?

ANEKA SEUMANUTAFA: She gave it directly to me before the start of the morning event.
