Q. (Question about Jack Draper.)

CAMERON NORRIE: Yeah, Jack's obviously a good player. I'm good friends with him. To play him in such a big tournament as this is never easy. We both practice with each other a lot, and we both know the ins and outs of each other's game.

Yeah, I think my first match was actually very slow conditions, and the balls got chewed up pretty quickly. Yeah, I think the match, I obviously know him well, and I think he did the things I was expecting him to do very well not as well as usual, and then other things, other parts I've seen him not do very well he did very well.

You know, it was not easy. He was playing long points very well. Yeah, it was not easy at all throughout the whole match.

Q. (Off mic.)

CAMERON NORRIE: I think, yeah, it came down to a couple of points, and especially in that tiebreak, I managed to take it into my own hands and play a little bit more aggressive.

Yeah, I came good in the big moments, especially breakpoints down, and two big games in the second set, and, yeah, like I said, it was tough. I really like Jack's game. He's got big serve, can hit all the spots on the serve. He can generate big on the forehand side. He volleyed very well today and volleyed short well.

He's already got a very complete game, and it's no secret why he's winning challengers pretty comfortably. I think he's ready for this level and it's good experience for him playing...

Q. (Question about being top 100.)

CAMERON NORRIE: To me I think he's future top-10 player. His game is there, he's got everything, it's just a matter of playing week in, week out and gaining experience.

He's still super young and he's hitting the ball, hitting the first serve much bigger than me, and he's moving super aggressively. Yeah, if he enjoys the travel, enjoys the tennis, everything, I think he's going to be top 10.

Q. Without the big three, Murray, Wawrinka, these guys, do you feel the men's side is up for grabs finally?

CAMERON NORRIE: I think there are so many good players up and coming. You have Alcaraz, Sinner, Tsitsipas, Medvedev playing top of his game, Rublev.

There is so much depth. Murray is still around. Yeah, I mean, there is so many guys coming through. I think they are just going to replace those guys. Yeah, it's an interesting one, but there's so many guys and they're so tough to beat.

Q. South Florida, Delray Beach. What is it about the South Florida action you like?

CAMERON NORRIE: I just think, yeah, I just like the conditions here. I play well and it's quite nice. You know, days off you can go to the beach and relax a little bit. Yeah, I feel good here and I like the humidity and playing long points. I think the conditions suit me well.

Q. (Off mic.)

CAMERON NORRIE: Yeah, exactly, we'll see how it goes.

Q. Are conditions here pretty similar to Indian Wells?

CAMERON NORRIE: Honestly, I think slightly yes, because it's so slow and the balls get chewed up pretty quickly and very bouncy. I think a little bit more bouncy than Indian Wells. I think it kind of feels an Acapulco court, maybe it's a little bit slower, but the...

Q. Slower than Acapulco?

CAMERON NORRIE: I think slower but I think less bouncy.

I think the match courts are a lot slower than the practice ones, so I was surprised a little bit with that, and I think I might have to drop a little bit of the tension in my racquet.

No, great for me. It was tough to finish points out there.
