Q. So you started obviously in Kenya, did well, making the cut. What are you looking forward to this year on the LET?

GEORGIA OBOH: With so many different events and traveling to different places, there's just a lot of opportunities to compete and play well. I guess I'm just grateful to our sponsors and partners for putting together the schedule.

Q. What does it mean to you to be the first Nigerian to play on the LET?

GEORGIA OBOH: For me, I don't want to be the last. It's more that I just happen to be the first. So it's kind of just to set the bar and make the path easier for those who follow behind me.

Q. What is your proudest achievement so far?

GEORGIA OBOH: My proudest achievement so far. For me I would have to say it would probably be winning my first event as a professional golfer. It was a bit nervy coming down the stretch, and to kind of get that win under my belt gave me a bit of momentum going into Q-School that year.

Q. And your parents introduced you to golf at 6. What is it that attracted you to the game and what keeps you in the game now?

GEORGIA OBOH: The competitiveness. I enjoy the challenge of golf. Obviously some days aren't great, some days are really good. One thing is golf is never boring. It's always a challenge, and there's always so much to learn and grow.

Q. Especially in this horrible wind. You have supporters all around the world. Tell us about your journey and where you play golf, from Nigeria to the UK and also Michigan.

GEORGIA OBOH: What happened was I went to Florida earlier this year before Kenya, and I was able to meet the owner of one of the few black owned golf courses in Florida. So from there, I just met some ladies who happened to be from Michigan who decided they wanted to support me.

So now I really represent Martin Downs Golf Club in Palm City, Florida. It's been great, to be honest. They've been really supportive and motivating me to just be able to relax and compete.

Q. What is the toughest part about your job?

GEORGIA OBOH: The toughest part is probably spending time away from family and friends, especially my family, we're kind of split over like three different continents. So it's already enough of an issue just trying to meet up again.

But at least I've been able to spend some time at home with my aunt in Florida and then my mom, my siblings in England, and then hopefully I'll go back to Nigeria soon.

Q. What do you like to do in your down time?

GEORGIA OBOH: I guess just watching Netflix. I'm quite chill, to be honest. I also like to write. Then I'm also learning Spanish on the side.

Q. Any particular Netflix shows that are your favorite?

GEORGIA OBOH: Ozark is pretty good. I'm waiting to see how that concludes.

Q. With all the travel, how do you manage to keep a good work-life balance?

GEORGIA OBOH: I guess because I don't do it alone, so I have my parents to bounce off of. Yeah, it's been great because I was always traveling when I was younger, so I'm kind of used to the travel aspect. I think the difference is that now I don't get to see my immediate family as much as I used to because COVID.

Q. Where do you see yourself in ten years time?

GEORGIA OBOH: It seems like a long way away now, but before you know it, it will be 2024 and time for the Olympics. I guess I'd like to see myself playing worldwide, playing more in America. I grew up playing in America mostly before turning pro, so going back there and playing there. Hopefully I will have been No. 1 in the world by then, so maybe I can make that my ten-year goal.

Q. What future do you see for women's golf in Nigeria and the continent of Africa?

GEORGIA OBOH: Well, for Nigeria, we're progressively growing for Africa. I think now we kind of have small powerhouses in the east, west, south, and north. I just think, once there are more African faces on TV, then I think overall we'll have more professionals. We already have a few who will soon enter college and hopefully turn pro afterwards.

So it's just really about me setting the way for more to come through. We have some, but we want more.

Q. What is your favorite app?

GEORGIA OBOH: I'd probably have to say -- actually, I'd probably say Google Chrome because I'm always searching and learning.

Q. What is your favorite series?

GEORGIA OBOH: Favorite series, I think I'd have to go with -- it actually just slipped my mind. Queen of the South. I haven't actually finished the series yet. That's on the bucket list to do.

Q. What's your favorite restaurant?

GEORGIA OBOH: Favorite restaurant -- oh, that's a tricky one because I go so many different places. I guess I can say my favorite kind would probably be Chinese. That's like our go to on tour.

Q. Would Chinese be your favorite food, or would you say something else?

GEORGIA OBOH: No, I'd say it's my mom's homemade cooking. Nothing really beats -- yeah, so for me nothing really beats homemade Nigerian food any day.

Q. What's your favorite drink?

GEORGIA OBOH: I guess water.

Q. Favorite makeup/cosmetic product?

GEORGIA OBOH: Foundation.

Q. Favorite perfume?

GEORGIA OBOH: I'd probably say I have this really nice Victoria's Secret. I can't remember what the name is.

Q. Favorite gadget?

GEORGIA OBOH: Actually, my headphones.

GEORGIA OBOH: My putter.

Q. Favorite dessert?

GEORGIA OBOH: Probably a chocolate brownie with ice cream.

GEORGIA OBOH: Yes.

GEORGIA OBOH: Favorite destination, probably Kenya.

GEORGIA OBOH: Probably athletics, 100 metres or 200.

GEORGIA OBOH: I guess I'll just have to say Afrobeats. It's kind of hard to choose for me a particular musician, but Afrobeats as a whole.
