Q. Can you describe the injury, please?
M. RIOS: Well, I was talking with the doctors like distention,
I don't know how to say it in English, but it hurt when I my play
my backhand, it is hard to move.
JOE LYNCH: Left hip area.
Q. Is it a muscle type of injury?
M. RIOS: I don't know.
Q. Did you suffer yesterday?
M. RIOS: No, I had it before like in Memphis, I stopped like
one week, then like I was okay and it happened here.
Q. After Memphis, did you play at all or did you take time
off?
M. RIOS: Yeah, I take time off.
Q. Is that the plan now?
M. RIOS: I don't know. I have to play next week Lipton and
I don't know how I will feel. I will take couple of days; see
what is going to happen.
Q. This was the first time you had the problem Memphis?
M. RIOS: Yeah. First time.
Q. Not in the juniors or anything?
M. RIOS: No, never.
Q. Before the injury, how do you think you were playing
today?
M. RIOS: Well, I have been playing good this week. I was not
playing very good, but, well, one more match like this, hard court
playing tennis, you have a lot of leg injuries. One injury, I
have to fix it up and go to the other tournament.
Q. This is your first time playing Boris?
M. RIOS: Yeah, first time.
Q. What were your impressions of his game?
M. RIOS: Well, he has a good serve and good volley and from
baseline he is -- well, when we play points from baseline, I win,
but from like serve and volley, he is great.
