Quick Quotes
Q. How would you describe the resumption today, how it went for you?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, pretty solid, to be honest. I hit plenty of nice shots. Yeah, a few putts didn't go in that I wish had have, but nonetheless I'm in a good spot going into this afternoon.
Q. Did you have to change your outlook of how you play this golf course because it seems like the last day and a half has been entirely different than what it was the first three days?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, I think this morning's conditions are definitely very scorable. The course is still soft. There's going to be a ton of birdies. But that rough is pretty gnarly. You've got to keep it in the fairway and try and give yourself as many looks as you can.
Q. Is that the main key this afternoon, you feel like you can score if you hit the fairways?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, I think so, hit the fairways. There's plenty of wedges around here. There's not much wind. All the par-5s will be pretty gettable, I think. Yeah, might be a low-scoring the last round, I think.
Q. What did you first think of this course when you moved here?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, I loved it. It's obviously -- I heard about it my whole life basically, and then to be able to play and practice out here is pretty cool.
Q. What's it like being here in Ponte Vedra and being so close to this course and being able to have this as sort of like home territory for you?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, it's good. You know, I think the rain delay, being able to be in my own house, that really helped out. I don't know what I would have done for a couple of days there if I was in a hotel room.
It's good. It's definitely an advantage. I know the course really well, and yeah.
Q. What were you going to be doing today had the tournament ended Sunday?
CAM SMITH: I don't know, it was pretty good fishing weather this morning, to be honest, nice and calm. Yeah, probably would have been doing that or just moseying around. These big tournaments seem to take it out of me a little bit. You give it your all, so yeah, generally pretty tired.
Q. What's catching this time of year?
CAM SMITH: Redfish. Redfish is good at the moment.
Q. So many great Australian winners here over the years; does it feel like you've become more comfortable with this tournament, and what does it mean to hope to follow in their tradition here?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, there's been a few Aussie winners here. When it's playing firm and fast, it reminds us a lot of home. Not so much this week, but yeah, hopefully I can go out there and give it my best.
